A few words of Masaib
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
According to most widely accepted traditions, the family of Prophet(sawaw) remained in captivity for about a year. After one year when the ruler of Syria were forced to release them, Bibi Zainab(s.a.) said to Imam Sajjad(a.s.) that she wanted to go back to Karbala to mourn his brother and all the martyrs of Karbala.  The same was desired by other women of this caravan and Imam Sajjad(a.s.) directed them towards Karbala.
The caravan arrived in Karbala. Every bibi rushed towards the place where their loved ones were martyred. Most of the bibis then gathered at the Ganj-e-Shahidaan upon indication of Imam Sajjad(a.s.) that they were all buried there. Some were lamenting for their son, some for their father, some for their brother, some for their husband and some for their relatives.
Bibi Umm-e-Farwa was saying at Qasim(a.s.)’s grave – oh my dear Qasim, you really fulfilled my wishes by sacrificing your youth. I had always wished to see the red color of your marriage but you replaced it with the blood of your horse-ridden corpse which was put together piece by piece.
Bibi Umm-e-Laila was saying at Akbar(a.s.)’s grave – Oh my yousaf-e-sani I had always wished for your marriage and to bring a beautiful bride for you. Your sister Sughra is waiting for you to return so she could fulfill all her wishes in the wedding of her brother. What would I tell her? You are lying here in your blood and your heart-broken mother is still living to bear all the agony.
Bibi Umm-e-Rubab brought with her the little kurta of Ali Asghar(a.s.) and put it over his grave. Oh Ali Asghar, how could I ever stay in the shade when you and your father are lying in the scorching sun. I lost you here and lost your sister Sakina in zindan-e-Shaam. I remember your bright and shining little face when I buried you with the help of your father. How could I ever forget those moments.
Bibi Zainab(s.a.) along with Imam Sajjad(a.s.) went close to the river of farat and said Oh my brother Abbas(a.s.) – see what happened after you were martyred. It could never have happened if you were there. She then went to the grave of her brother Imam Hussain(a.s.) and lamented – Oh my dear brother, I had promised you that your message would reach every where and I would protect the Islam for which you sacrificed your life. I am successful in that but you know at what cost? I went through bazaar-e-Shaam without hijaab and faced the tyrant drunkards of darbar-e-Shaam. I took over the role of Abbas after him and faced hardships all along. I took on my back the lashes of Shimr that were directed at your beloved Sakina but I could not protect her from the sorrows of being away from you. I have lost her and left her buried in the prison of Damascus.
Ala lanatullahe ala qaumiz zalimeen. Sa yalamul lazina zalamu ayya munqalibi yanqaliboon.
Roger Federer … CRYING ^~^
Unbelieveable.
Today i saw the tale end of the historic 4 and a half hour Ausses Open Final. and was hesterical to witness the winner Nadal Rafael of Espain appologise over his victory becouse the world # 2 Roger Federer of Suiden wont stop crying. Now how often do we get to see that kind of sport!?
Federer was clearly depressed in the end and gave away two whole sets. unforced errors were committed from both sides but not as much as from Roger’s.
My probable guess is, Roger was defeated by the time 5th set was 4-2. He was prepairing himself from that point onwards to how to face his fans rather than playing the game and staying in the moment. I say a world class player with such a fan support could have turned the table around.
Still, what ever the mind set was, Federer cried and cried and kept crying ..
For me these American Elections 2008 for Presidential candidate does not appeal as in the context of WHOM? Rather in, WHAT is the foreign policy of the successor of the office regarding Iran and Pakistan?
When I think of US, I picture a fat bully with a lightning bolt in his one hand and a dove in the other. He shows his dove to other kids and asks them to pet pap the bird and when they do as directed he pokes them with the lightning bolt for doing it wrong.
As the history reveals, there has been greater damages than benefits of US’s friendship. For instance take UK’s PM as an example, if not satisfied pick up the example of Pakistan. We brought the battle field in our house from our neighbors (and those fucking neighbors are now showing us grim attitude).
I ask now, WHY should be any Muslim be interested in the 2008 US Elections? When US has done nothing but to destabilize the Muslim hold in Asia. In fact, it has done the same with us which the Afghans did with the Buddha’s 20,000 year old sculptures. Rubbles and dust, that’s what was left behind.
US is running out of battle grounds and even reasons for engaging in battle. But still its foreign policy towards the rest of the world is aggressive enough to keep them awake at night. So despite the question of WHO is going to be the next President? We ask WHO is the next unlucky nation (US battle field)?
 These Elections are an impression of illuminating ray in the murk of US battle fields. We hope that the new man assigned the office would bring about a change in this mar and suffering. Besides US has its own internal matters running at large to tend to, not to mention the housing industry, stock exchanges and unemployment.
MALIK’S MUWATTA
MALIK’S MUWATTA
It was Caliph Umar who added to the prayer call (one more ‘biddah’ on account that he has already added biddah-tul-hassana among the Muslims)
The Tormented Path. This book was  written by  Malik bin Anus bin Malik bin Abu-Ameer Al- Asbahi (the self claimed Imam). I have gathered here some quotations from his book which elucidate the esteeme he and his compaignions holds for the Prophet (saww).
Here some of these Hadits and narrations and traditions are quoted.
Here only one or may be two examples are given, for detailed reading refer the reference given in the beginning of every quoted text.
Book 3, Number 3.1.8: Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that the muazhzhin came to Umar ibn al−Khattab to call him to the subh prayer and found him sleeping, so he said, “Prayer is better than sleep,” and Umar ordered him to put that in the azhan for subh.
The joining of prayers (it is now faulty to call Shia Muslims apart in following the true path of the Prophet (s.a.w.w))
Book 9, Number 9.1.4: Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu’z Zubayr al−Makki from Said ibn Jubayr that Abdullah ibn Abbas said, “The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, prayed zhuhr and asr together and maghrib and isha together, and not out of fear nor because of travelling.”
Exibit the level of blasmphy regarding the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w)
Book 14, Number 14.2.3: Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban from his paternal uncle, Wasi ibn Habban, that Abdullah ibn Umar said,
“People say, ‘When you sit to relieve yourself, do not face the qibla or the Bayt al−Maqdis.’ ” Abdullah continued, “I went upon top of a house of ours and saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, (squatting) on two unfired bricks facing the Bayt al−Maqdis, relieving himself.” Ibn Umar added, “Perhaps you are one of those who pray folded on their haunches.” Wasi replied, “I don’t know, by Allah!” Malik said that he meant some one who, when he prostrated, kept his body close to the ground.
Here, complete book on weeping over dead is presented and there is no sentence here that proves it is not allowed instead the misconception over the issue is corrected by bibi Ayesha (highlighted)
SECTION 12: The Prohibition Against Weeping Over the Dead
Book 16, Number 16.12.36: Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Abdullah ibn Jabir ibn Atik that Atik ibn al−Harith, the grandfather of Abdullah ibn Abdullah ibn Jabir on his mother’s side, told him that Jabir ibn Atik had told him that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came to visit Abdullah ibn Thabit and found him in his death−throes. He called to him but he did not reply. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,said, “We belong to Allah, and to Him we are returning,” and added, “You are being taken from us, Abu’r−Rabi.” The women cried out and wept, and Jabir began to silence them. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,said, “Leave them, and when the necessary time comes, none of
the women should cry.” They said, “Messenger of Allah, what is the necessary time?”, and he replied, “When he dies.” The dying man’s daughter said, “By Allah, I hope that you will be a martyr, for you have completed your preparations for battle,” and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Allah has made his reward fall according to his intention. What do you consider dying a martyr to be?” They said, “Death in the way of Allah.” The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,said, “There are seven kinds of rnartyr other than those killed in the way of Allah. Someone who is killed by the plague is a martyr, someone who drowns is a martyr, someone who dies of pleurisy is a martyr, someone who dies of a disease of the belly is a martyr, someone who dies by fire is a martyr, someone who dies under a falling building is a
martyr and a woman who dies in childbirth is a martyr.”
Book 16, Number 16.12.37: Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr from his father that Amra bint Abdar−Rahman told him that she had heard A’isha, the umm
al−muminin, say (when it was mentioned to her that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, “The dead are tormented by the weeping of the living”), “May Allah forgive Abu Abd ar−Rahman. Of course he has not lied, but he has forgotten, or made a mistake. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, passed by a jewish woman whose family were crying over her and he said, ‘You are crying over her, and she is being tormented in her grave. ‘ “
Another Bidddah
Book 17, Number 17.2.7: Yahya related to me from Malik that Ibn Shihab said, “The first person to deduct zakat from allowances was Muawiya ibn Abi Sufyan.” (i.e. the deduction being made automatically)…
Blasmphy called upon the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w) calling him a shere deviator from the words of God and the conflict of abu Huraira with bibi Ayesha and Hafsa (wives of the Prophet (s.a.w.w))
Book 18, Number 18.4.11: Yahya related to me from Malik from Sumayy, the mawla of Abu Bakr ibn Abd ar−Rahman ibn al−Harith ibn Hisham that he heard Abu Bakr ibn Abd ar−Rahman ibn al−Harith ibn Hisham say, “My father and I were with Marwan ibn al Hakam at the time when he was amir of Madina, and someone mentioned to him that Abu Hurayra used to say, ‘If someone begins the morning junub, he has broken the fast for that day.’ Marwan said, ‘I swear to you, Abdar−Rahman, you must go to the two umm al muminin, A’isha and Umm Salama, and ask them about it.’ ”Abd ar−Rahman went to visit A’isha and I accompanied him. He greeted her and then said, ‘Umm
al−muminin, we were with Marwan ibn al Hakam and someone
mentioned to him that Abu Hurayra used to say that if some one had begun the morning junub, he had broken the fast for that day.’ A’isha said, ‘It is not as Abu
Here I would like to divert your attention towards the matter that why all of the Hadiths regarding ‘junab’ are narrated from bibi Ayesha and Hafsa? And not from any other wife of the Prophet (s.a.w.w)? or atleast any other companion?
 Hurayra says Abd ar−Rahman. Do you dislike what the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to do?’, and Abdar−Rahman said, ‘No, by Allah.’ A’isha said, ‘I bear witness that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to get up in the morning junub from intercourse, not a dream, and would then fast for that day.’ ” He continued, “Then we went and visited Umm Salama, and Abdar−Rahman asked her about the same matter and she said the same as A’isha had said. Then we went off until we came to Marwan ibn al−Hakam Abd ar−Rahman told him what they had both said and Marwan said, ‘I swear to you, Abu Muhammad, you must use the mount which is at the door, and go to Abu Hurayra, who is on his land at al Aqiq, and tell him this.’ So Abdar−Rahman rode off, and I went with him, until we came to Abu Hurayra. Abd ar−Rahman talked with him for a while, and then mentioned the matter to him, and Abu Hurayra said, ‘I don’t know anything about it. I was just told that by someone.’”
Making mockry of the Prophet (s.a.w.w)
Book 18, Number 18.5.14: Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that A’isha, umm al−muminin, may Allah be pleased with her, said, “The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to kiss certain of his wives when fasting,” and then she laughed.
In connection with the above
Why now Calip Umar prohibits the same? Is he not tormenting the “right” path?
Book 18, Number 18.6.20: Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to forbid kissing and fondling for people who were fasting.
Yahya related to me from Malik, from Abu'n−Nadr, the mawla of 'Umar ibn 'Ubaydullah at−Taymi, from Nafi, the mawla of Abu Qatada al−Ansari, that Abu Qatada was once with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. When they got to one of the roads to Makka he fell behind with some companions of his who were muhrim, while he was not. Then he saw a wild ass, so he got on his mount and asked his companions to give him his whip but they refused. Then he asked them for his spear and they refused to give it to him. So he took hold of it and attacked the ass and killed it. Some of the companions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ate from it, and others refused. When they had caught up with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, they asked him about it and he said, "It is food that Allah has fed you with."Eating an ass
Book 20, Number 20.22.79: Yahya related to me from Malik, from Zayd ibn Aslam, that Ata ibn Yasar had told him, from Abu Qatada, the same hadith about the wild ass* as that of Abu’n−Nadr, except that in the hadith of Zayd ibn Aslam the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,said, “Do you still have any of its meat?”
Not eating an ass
Contradiction
Book 20, Number 20.23.84: Yahya related to me from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Utba ibn Masud, from Abdullah ibn Abbas, that as−Sab ibn Jaththama al−Laythi once gave a wild ass to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, while he was at al−Abwa, or Waddan, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, gave it back to him. However, when the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saw the expression on the man’s face he said, “We only gave it back to you because we are in ihram.”
This is strange: because today it is a common practice that Sunni women can not perform Hajj with out the assistance of a ‘Mehram’.
Book 20, Number 20.77.263: Malik said, concerning a woman who had never been on hajj, “If she doesn’t have a mahram, or if
she has, but he cannot come with her, she does not abandon Allah’s making of the hajj obligatory for her. Let her go in a group of women.”
Recognition of ‘Khums’ by Imam Malik, this topic is also dealt in section 11 of this book as well.
SECTION 7: Things on Which the Tax of One Fifth (Khumus) is Not Obligatory
Book 21, Number 21.7.16: Malik said about enemy soldiers who were found on the seashore of a Muslim land, and they claimed that they were merchants and that the sea had driven them ashore, while the Muslims were not able to verify any of that except that their ships were damaged, or they were thirsty and had disembarked without the permission of the Muslims, “I think that it is up to the imam to give his opinion about them, and I do not think that the tax of one fifth is taken from them.”
Malik astraying from the rightous path (here we can see clearly how much he astrays from the fore told path).
Book 22, Number 22.1.2: Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr that his paternal aunt related that her grandmother made a vow to walk to the Quba mosque. She died,and did not fulfill it, so Abdullah ibn Abbas asked her daughter to walk for her. Yahya said that he had heard Malik say, “No one walks for anyone else.”
Book 22, Number 22.1.1: Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Utba ibn Masud from Abdullah ibn Abbas that Sad ibn Ubada questioned the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,and said,”My mother died while she still had a vow which she had not fulfilled.” The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Fulfill it for her.”
The Third Caliph was supposed to be stoned in respect of his actions and he has no knowledge of the Holy Book at all (what a deserving Caliph, indeed)
Book 41, Number 41.1.11: Malik related to me that he had heard that Uthman ibn Affan was brought a woman who had given birth after six months and he ordered her to be stoned. Ali ibn Abi Talib said to him, “She does not deserve that. Allah, the Blessed, the Exalted, says in His Book, ‘Their carrying and weaning is thirty months,’ (Sura 46 ayat 15) and he said, ‘Mothers suckle their children for two full years for whoever wishes to complete the suckling.’ (Sura 2 ayat 233) Pregnancy can then be six months, so she does not deserve to be stoned.” Uthman ibn Affan sent for her and found that she had already been stoned. Malik related to me that he asked Ibn Shihab about someone who committed sodomy. Ibn Shihab said, “He is to be stoned, whether or not he is muhsan.”
Yazid the drunkard.
Book 42, Number 42.1.1: Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that as−Sa’ib ibn Yazid informed him that Umar ibn al−Khattab came out to them. He said, “I have found the smell of wine on so−and−so, and he claimed that it was the drink of boiled fruit juice, and I am inquiring about what he has drunk. If it intoxicates, I will flog him.” Umar then flogged him with the complete hadd.
Look a democrate is born.
Book 42, Number 42.5.14: Yahya related to me from Malik from Da’ud ibn al−Husayn that Waqid ibn Amr ibn Sad ibn Muazh informed him from Mahmud ibn Labid al−Ansari that when Umar ibn al−Khattab went to ash−Sham, the people of ash−Sham complained to him about the bad air of their land and its heaviness. They said, “Only this drink helps.” Umar said, “Drink this honey preparation.” They said, “Honey does not help us.” A man from the people of that land said, “Can we give you something of this drink which does not intoxicate?” He said, “Yes.” They cooked it until two−thirds of it evaporated and one−third of it remained. Then they brought it to Umar. Umar put his finger in it and then lifted his head and extended it. He said, “This is fruit juice concentrated by boiling. This is like the distillation with which you smear the camel’s scabs.” Umar ordered them to drink it. Ubada ibn as−Samit said to him, “You have made it halal, by Allah!” Umar said, “No, by Allah! O Allah! I will not make anything halal for them which You have made haram for them! I will not make anything haram for them which You have made halal for them.”
Despite the fact that I would love to add commentary all the texts that I have quoted .. narrating such beliefs are shamefull enough for me and any other senceable mind.
May Allah guide us to the rightious path, the path of the blessed (as) and not lead us the tormented darkness.
To all the readers .. kindly think what you are being told from various platforms and what is the TRUTH behind it.
Peace and oil for all.
Imam Ali’s (as) Myterdom
A few words of Masaib
=====================
It is the 21st of Ramazan, the day of great difficulty and mourning for the Ahl-e-Bait(a.s.) and their followers. The day when our beloved Imam(a.s.) finally succumbed to the fatal injury that he received on the 19th Ramazan in Masjid-e-Koofa.
Imam Ali(a.s.) was surrounded by his male family members and his faithful followers since the 19th. The tabeebs (doctors) announced that the effect of the poison has reached such a stage that it is not possible for him to survive now. Hearing this, Imam Ali(a.s.) who already knew of this situation, asked his faithful followers to leave him. His followers were weeping and were deeply saddened by this order but then Imam Ali(a.s.) told them that they cannot stay since his daughters were eager to be with him in these last moments. Hearing this the faithful followers left with tears in their eyes and with a heavy heart. Imam(a.s.) asked his sons to make sure that his followers were so much away from the house that they would not hear the cries and voices of his daughters.
It was at this time that Imam Ali(a.s.) gave his detailed last will and instructions to his family. He pronounced Imam Hasan(a.s.) as his successor in Imamate and the head of the family. Then he called all his children and started giving their hands one by one in the hands of Imam Hasan(a.s.) saying: “I give you in the protection of my son Hasan(a.s.)”.
When all the children were handed in the protection of Imam Hasan(a.s.), only Hazrat Abbas(a.s.) was left and he was standing in a corner. At this stage, his holy mother – Bibi Umm-ul-Bannen(a.s.) – with permission of Imam Ali(a.s.) asked : “why have you spared my son Abbas from being given in the protection of Imam Hasan(a.s.)?”. Imam Ali(a.s.) called Hazrat Abbas(a.s.) and said: “I have saved him for a very special occassion” and then he called Imam Hussain(a.s.) and giving the Imam’s hand in the hand of Hazrat Abbas(a.s.), addressed him saying: “Abbas, I give Hussain in your protection. Take good care of him and don’t leave him until he wishes so, and remember this is a great responsiblity which you would realize when you will be in Karbala and all the companions of Hussain will be martyred and his little children will be crying and asking for water from a thirst of three days of intense heat”.
He then called Imam Hussain(a.s.) and said: “My son when you will be left alone in Karbala and the time of your martyrdom will arrive, I ask you to fulfill one wish of mine – Ask your sister Zainab to raise her sleeves and then kiss her arms.” . Imam Hussain(a.s.) asked in astonishment as to why did you wish for this. Imam Ali(a.s.) said : “My son after you are martyred, the army of Yazid(mal’oon) will enter the tents and will snatch away the hijabs of my daughters and will make Zainab(s.a.) and other ladies prisoners and her hands will be tied with a tight rope.” Hearing this Imam Hussain(a.s.) burst into tears and that was the time when Imam Ali(a.s.) breathed his last leaving his family and followers mourning for him.
ala l’anat ullahe ala qaum-za-zalimeen. May allah(swt) curse the cruel tribe which committed atrocities on the Ahl-e-Bait(a.s.) and their followers.
Inna Lillah-e-wa Inna ilehe Rajeoon – We have come from HIM and we have to return to HIM.
A Historical note about burial of Imam Ali(a.s.)
================================================
Imam Ali(a.s.) instructed his children that when he is martyred, they should lift his coffin from behind only since the front will be lifted by his most faithful angels and they will guide you to my burial place which will be ready when you reach there. That is exactly what happened. The funeral was arranged in the night time and was attended only by the family members and close and trusted companions of Imam Ali(a.s.). The front of his coffin was lifted by unseen creatures and they guided his coffin to the place in Najaf-e-Ashraf where a grave was ready and Imam Ali(s.a) was buried there. Imam Hasan(a.s.) recited his namaz-e-janaza.
Due to the situation in those days, only the closest and trusted companions of Imam Ali(a.s.) and his family members knew about the funeral and the exact burial place. The next day, there were lots of speculations among the Koofians about the place of burial of Imam Ali(a.s.) but no one knew the exact place.
After the Ummayad rule came to an end, during the reign of Abul Abbas al-Saffah, Imam Jafer Sadiq(a.s.) arrived in Najaf and identified the grave of Imam Ali(a.s.) for the first time to his companions such as Abu Basser, Abdullah ibn-e-Talha, Mualli ibn-e-Khanis, Yunis ibn-e-Tibyan and Zarara. Likewise, other Imams(a.s.) during their imamate identified the same place to their followers and that is how it came to be know to general masses. Famous ulema of Ahlul Sunnah such as ibn-e-Aseer and ibn-e-Abil Hadeed also recognize the same place in Najaf as the burial place of Imam Ali(a.s.).
The Battle Of Badr
Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , on September 16, 2008 by tahazaidi
17th Ramzan – the battle of Badr.
Battle of Badr was the first most important battle between the Muslims and the Mushrikeen of Makkah.  The battle was fought in 2 A.H. on Friday 17th of Ramazan and Allah(swt) had promised the Muslims of victory even before the battle had started.
Allah(swt) says in the Quran :  “And indeed Allah assisted you at Badr when you were weak, so be careful (to your duty) to Allah so that you may be of the thankful ones. When you said to the believers ‘Does it not suffice you that your Lord should assist you with three thousand angels sent down..” – Sura Aal-e-Imran 3:123 & 124
A Historical perspective
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The battle of Badr was the first of the great battles of Islam. The faithfuls were put to the first real test during this battle. Badr is the name of a celebrated well and a market-place of Arabia, and is so named after a certain Badr bin Quraish bin Mukhlad bin an-Nadr bin Kananah, who hailed from the clan of Ghaffar.

From the start of Ramzan, a report reached to Madina that a large trading caravan of Quraish was returning to Mecca from Syria under the leadership of Abu Sufyan bin Harb accompanied by fifty armed guards. It has been pointed out that this richly loaded caravan constituted a grave threat to the security of Madina, therefore, Prophet Mohammad(sawaw) dispatched Talha bin Ubaidullah and Saeed bin Zaid, to gather intelligence about the caravan and to report back. It was discovered that it was a large caravan in which all the Makkans had shares. The Quraish had decided to put all their savings into it and use the profits on arms, horses and other items of war to use against the Muslims.

The news was highly disturbing. The Prophet (S.A.W) left Madina and decided to meet the caravan in Badr with 313 men. Among them only 2 were on horses and 70 had camels and the rest were on foot. There were only 6 men with protective gear (zirah). Imam Ali(a.s.) was the standard bearer of the Muslim army.

Abu Sufyan feared an attack from the Muslims and sent a messenger to Makkah telling them of his fears. On receiving the message, an army of 1000 men, 100 horses and 700 camels under the leadership of Abu Jahl left Makkah to go to Badr. Meanwhile Abu Sufyan took a different route back to Makkah avoiding Badr. When the army of Abu Jahl reached at Jahfah, a little half-way to Badr, an emissary of Abu Sufyan – or Abu Sufyan himslef according to some traditions – met with the army of Abu Jahl and informed them that the caravan had passed through the danger zone safely and that it was not necessary to march towards Madina. On hearing this, some of them counseled that they should go back, but Abu Jahl and his party rejected the suggestion violently in their proudness and the lust of power and their desire to crush the Muslim army and proceeded towards Badr.

The importance of the first great battle of Islam
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The personality of the Messenger(sawaw), his leadership and his unequalled firmness. He was to the Muslims the final refuge at Badr and at every battle he attended. The Hashmites (the clan of the Prophet(sawaw)), led by Imam Ali ibn-e-Abu Talib(a.s..) who entered this battle relatively obscure and came out with unequalled military fame. His military performances became the popular subject of the Arab caravans conversations throughout the Arabic Peninsula.
Hearts of hundreds of companions of the Messenger were filled with the faith and readiness for sacrifice. Many of them viewed martyrdom to be a gain, equal to life and victory. These good companions were the army of Islam, its first line of defense and thick wall behind which the Messenger(sawaw) used to stand. They were the attackers and the defenders.
The importance of the outcome of the battle were evident from the prayers of the Prophet(sawaw) himself. Abdul Malik ibn-e-Hushham narrates in his book As-Seerah An-Nabawiyah that the Prophet(sawaw) prayed to his Lord : ” God this is Quraish. It has come with all its arrogance and boastfulness, trying to discredit Thy Apostle. God, I ask Thee to humiliate them tomorrow. God, if this Muslim band will perish today, Thou shall not be worshipped.”
The two armies meet at Badr on 17th Ramazan 2 A.H.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the beginning as per Arab custom, single combat (one to one) took place. The famous Quraysh warriors Utbah ibn-e-Rabi’ah – the father-in-law of Abu Sufyan -, his son Walid ibn-e-Utbah and his brother Shebah ibn-e-Rabi’ah came to challenge the Muslim warriors. Hundreds of companions were around the Prophet(sawaw) and many of them were expecting to be called upon to start the battle but the Prophet(sawaw) chose to start from his own family. The load was heavy and the heavy load could be carried only by the people to whom it belonged as he called upon Imam Ali(a.s.), Al-Hamza and Obeidah Al Harith (all from the clan of the Prophet(sawaw)) to face the three warriors. Imam Ali(a.s.) destroyed Al-Walid and Al-Hamza killed Utbah; then they both assisted Obeidah against his opponent Sheibah. Sheibah died immediately and Obeidah was the first martyr at this battle. He died after he lost his leg.

The Quraysh got disturbed and began attacking en masse. When the general offensive began, hundreds of companions participated in the battle and offered sacrifices and pleased their Lord. But the members of the house of the Prophet(sawaw) distinguished themselves. Imam Ali(a.s.)’s endeavour was unique at this battle. When Hanthala Ibn Abu Sufyan faced him, Imam Ali(a.s.) liquified his eyes with one blow from his sword. He annihilated Al Auss Ibn Saeed, and met Tuaima Ibn Oday and transfixed him with his spear, saying “You shall not dispute with us in God after today.”

In the thick of the battle, the Prophet(sawaw) prayed to Allah(swt). In Surat-ul Anfal Allah(swt) gave the answer:
“When you asked for help from your Lord, He answered you. Indeed I will aid you with a thousand of the angels in rows behind rows”.
Sura Anfa’al 8:9

According to authentic tradition, Allah(swt) had already promised victory to the muslims following the prayers of the Phophet Mohammad(sawaw) and during the battle, Allah(swt) sent down first one thousand then three thousand and then five thousand angels to help the Muslim army. According to some narrators of the army of infidels, they saw these warriors having a sword in one hand and a whip in the other and whoever got stuck by the whip was instantly killed. It is stated by Maulvi Abdul Haq Muhaddis Dehlvi that Allah(swt) sent all angels in the face of Imam Ali(a.s.).

The Results
~~~~~~~~~~~
The mushrakeen army got frightened and began to retreat. The skill of Imam Ali(a.s.), the other Muslim soldiers and the sight of so many angels struck terror in the enemies hearts. 72 Kuffar were killed including their leader Abu Jahl. Imam Ali(a.s.) killed no less that 20 of them , though some historians give his credit of killing 36 of them. 14 muslims were martyred.
70 prisoners were taken by the Muslims. This was the first opportunity of the Muslims after their long and bitter sufferings at the hands of the Meccans to wreak vengeance on them, if they chose. However, the prisoners were treated with kindness and some became Muslims. In later days some of the prisoners said: “blessed be the men of Medina, they made us ride whilst they walked, they gave us wheat and bread to eat when there was little of it contenting themselves with plain dates.” The rich prisoners paid ransom and were set free. Others were asked to gain their freedom by teaching 10 Muslims to read and write.
The battle of Badr strengthened the faith of the Muslims and laid the foundation of the Islamic State and made out of the Muslims a force to be reckoned with by the dwellers of the Arabic Peninsula
Historians have recorded that from the day of Badr there was such awe-inspiring effect on the Arab populace about Imam Ali’s swordsmanship, daring and courage that the word ‘shuja’at’ became synonymous with Ali
Angles Salute Imam Ali(a.s.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is related by Imam Ali(a.s.) in Yanabi-al-Mawadah that he stated that “On the night of Badr, Prophet Mohammad(sawaw) sent me to fetch water from a well. On the way back three strong gusts of winds hit me. When I reached the Prophet(sawaw) I mentioned about those winds the Prophet(sawaw) told me that they were groups of angels sent by Allah(swt) in the leadership of Hazrat Jibrael(a.s.), Hazrat Israfeel(a.s.) and Hazrat Mikaeel(a.s.) and they saluted me.”

In another tradition also mentioned in Yanabi-al-Mawadah, Imam Ali(a.s.) used to mention it proudly to his companions that who could be like me who received the salutation of three thousand angels on the night of Badr which included angels Jibreel(a.s.), Mikaeel(a.s.) and Israfeel(a.s.).

27th December 2007.

4 days and 6 hours before new year A bomb blast occurs taking down with it a prominent political figure and the former prime minister of Pakistan,

in the after math,

the whole country is engulfed in blood and fire.

Al-Qaida accepts the responsibility.

I m going to jolt down some facts that i know of and drive a conclusion, how much you agree to it its up you. Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has ruled over the state of Pakistan for a collective time of not more than 3 and a half years. Despite her magnificent personova and a firm political back ground her era of ruling was declared the most corrupt in the Pakistani history of governance. Yesterday her campaign was hijacked by Al-Qaida claiming her to be the strong pillar of American support in Pakistan. What leaves me in disbelief is after all the efforts by the Former Army Chief and President and currently just the President of Pakistan Parvez Musharraf to not the accept the existance of Al-Qaida in Pakistan have been clean sweeped in just a jiffy. Now every one is certain of the existance of venomous Al-Qaida in Pakistan .. but wait just a second here isn’t this the same excuse that America used to enter into Afghanistan? Are American agencies running out of excuses to ram into other governing states. I m pretty damn sure that now America will deploy his allianced army in Pakistan too.

I am saying this because there is no concern of Al-Qaida blowing up Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. Now why would they take a step that means nothing to them? Its a game played by American Government to hijack Pakistan and clean sweep us of our feet.

I don’t hate America but I don’t agree with there policies either.
GOD save Pakistan and No place else.
